INSPIRATION
The Cape Floral Kingdom captured in hand-crafted gin

Gin embodying the diversity of fynbos
Located in the Western Cape province of South Africa, a country at the foot of the African continent, the Cape Floral Kingdom is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Though the smallest of the six floral kingdoms in the world, it has the largest plant variety of all the floral kingdoms with 9,000 plant species, 69% of which only grow in the Cape region.
It consist mostly of fynbos vegetation, an Afrikaans* word meaning ‘fine-leaved plants’, which covers the region’s magnificent mountains, lowland valleys, and coastal plains. The purity of this region – the nature, diversity, beauty, and uniqueness – is captured in our limited-batch, handcrafted Cape Diversity Gin.

TASTING NOTES
APPEARANCE
Clear, clean, brilliant.
NOSE
Top notes of juniper create a piney, woody, natural resin with spicy complexity flanked by uplifting citrus zest. This is contrasted by sweet, round aromas of jasmine, orange blossom and cinnamon. Herbaceous notes provide a baseline complexity from renosterbos, cancerbush*, and exotic medicinal roots, bulbs, leaves, and spice. The mild warmth from the alcohol softly tingles the nose.
TASTE
Juniper appears first, quickly followed by prominent alcohol warmth. Citrus and herbaceous flavours then dominate the palate with medium cinnamon and coriander seed. The lasting flavour of dried roots, barks and juniper is perceived throughout the long body of this gin. Adding tonic water releases more juniper notes, with stronger underlying buchu* and cardamom dynamics coming to the fore. Initially sweet, the flavour quickly turns dry, with lasting dry lemon, rooibos*, and sceletium*.
